Grooming

Grooming is an essential part of every dog’s care even if he is a short-coated breed. A good brushing on a regular basis is good for removing dirt as well as distributing the natural oil in his skin to maintain his coat in a nice shiny condition. Teaching puppies all about having their coat brushed, ears cleaned and nails clipped at a young age prevents problems at a later date when a full grooming becomes necessary.

Grooming service is available for all breeds and sizes of dogs as well as all ages. Attention is personalized for every dog and particular care is taken for young puppies and elderly dogs to make sure their special needs are considered.

Dogs are groomed in my home with appointments booked for one dog at a time in order to ensure exclusive care for your pet. Occasionally I will go to people’s homes to groom, especially if the dog is an elderly one. There is a traveling fee for this service.

If your dog does not need a full grooming but requires extra brushing to remove undercoat, mats or trim extra hair around eyes or feet, this can be done for a lesser fee.

I use high quality natural products formulated for the various types of coats that different breeds of dogs possess. I also use pecialty products for staining , dry coat, static, etc.

Fees: These vary depending on the size of the dog, the type of coat, the condition of the coat and how much time is involved in grooming the dog.

Puppies are usually $30.00.

A smaller dog such as a Shih Tzu or Miniature Poodle requiring a full clip and scissor finish starts at $45.

Larger dogs requiring clips such as Standard Poodles or Bouvier des Flandres start at $60.

Dogs such as Labrador Retrievers, German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers or Bernese Mountain dogs or dogs of that type vary from $45.00-75.00.
